 The lost city of the Ancients is an island unto itself, surrounded by a vast body of water on the surface of a planet in the Pegasus galaxy. It has been abandoned by the Ancients but left in perfect condition, and the team from Earth must begin the task of exploring it.Atlantis is equipped with a powerful energy shield, which is vital to protecting the new base of operations from enemy attack.  Unfortunately, at the moment this is not working due to the depletion of the ZPM power cells, so they are vulnerable to attack if ever the Wriath finish feeding and decide to come after them.  Atlantis is powered by five small Naquadah generators, each responsible for a separate area of the city. Two of the generator rooms are conveniently located near transporter stations. They managed to put the shields up temporarily in the episode The Eye, by using the energy from lightning strikes to charge up the power cells.
