Synopsis:
On their next mission Daniel finds a lab containing many fantastic articles of archaeological interest. He is ordered to leave them and return with the rest of the team but before he does, he sees a shimmering mirror and reaches out to touch it. He thinks he has received an electric shock and goes in search of the rest of the team to show them what he has found. They are however gone.
He returns to earth alone but is suddenly plunged into a world that he does not recognise. The SGC is the same but no one recognises him. O’Neill is a General and in charge of the SGC and Carter is a civilian adviser and not in military, they are engaged to be married. Jackson comes to realise that he has travelled to an alternate universe and he has no idea how to get back. The earth is being destroyed from orbit and the SGC is under attack by the Gou’ald, led by Teal’c who is First Prime of Apophis. Jackson must convince O’Neill to give up the SGC’s last chance at escape to allow Jackson to take the information he has learned from this reality to save the people in his own reality.
