Synopsis:
Jackson makes a startling discovery whilst reviewing old tapes of Stargate experiments done before the second world war. It appears as though the Stargate was activated and a solitary figure disappeared through it. The traveller turns out to be Ernest Littlefield, the once fiancée of Catherine Langford, who used to run the Stargate project and recruited Jackson.
The team, taking Catherine with them, go in search of Ernest Littlefield. They find him living alone on a planet ravaged by storms where the Stargate is under threat and the DHD has been destroyed. They, like Ernest has been for 50 years, are now trapped.
Ernest shows Jackson a remarkable place where the combined knowledge of 4 alien races including the Nox and the Asgard, otherwise known as Thor's race, is stored in an effort to communicate with other civilisations.
Whilst the rest of SG-1 fight to find a way home before the storm hits, Jackson attempts to collect the information which could change the course of human evolution before the knowledge is lost forever.
