Synopsis:
The episode begins with three members of SG-1 returning from a planet in shock and reporting that they witnessed the death of Daniel Jackson.
All believe that they saw Jackson engulfed in flames and that they only just managed to escape the planet with their own lives. In fact Jackson has been taken prisoner by a creature known as Nem who lives under the sea. This creature believes that Jackson has knowledge that can help him find his lost love. She apparently went to earth in the time of Babylon to fight the Gou'ald and never returned. As the SGC mourns his death, Jackson must recall aspects of earth history from 4000 years ago in the knowledge that if he fails he will die.
The team however cannot shake the feeling that Jackson is alive and find that they must resort to extreme measures to find out the truth.
