Synopsis:
O'Neill fights with the newly formed SGC to secure the final member of his team, Teal'c, the former First Prime to Apophis who risked his life to save SG-1. As a Jaffa, Teal'c holds a laval form of the Gou'ald in his stomach in exchange for which he receives long life and perfect health, this makes him a perfect specimen for the study earth's newest deadly enemy.
Unknown to the rest of the SGC, the leader of SG-2, Major Charles Kawalsky, has been infected with a Gou'ald that lays dormant biding its time and slowly taking over Kawalsky's body.
As O'Neill struggles with bureaucracy, Kawalsky's struggle fails and the Gou'ald is revealed. With Teal'c help the doctors operate to try and remove it and save Kawalsky's life. The final struggle in front of the Stargate results in Teal'c taking Kawalsky's life to stop the Gou'ald from escaping with him as an unwilling host.
