| Synopsis: The first feature length episode begins exactly one year after the last one ended with Colonel Jack O'Neill being recalled to active duty after a Goa'uld attack through the Stargate. The story unfolds as O'Neill with a newly formed team including a new character, Captain Samantha Carter, a leading expert on the Stargate are sent back to Abydos to look for the Gou'ald and to bring Daniel Jackson back to earth. Daniel Jackson and O'Neill meet again and Daniel has the surprising revelation that by the discovery of a cartouche listing Stargate addresses, the Stargate can go to numerous other places. And so the scene is set. The ensuing attack by the Gou'ald result in the kidnapping of the boy Skarra (a character from the original film) and Daniel's wife Sha're. They have been taken as hosts. Daniel forced to leave Abydos and return to earth to search for his wife. And so the SGC is formed with SG-1 being the first contact team consisting of O'Neill, Carter and with some persuasion, Jackson. They embark on their first rescue mission. In the midst of the action the story moves quickly to explain that the new enemy is not Ra but Aphopis, the Egyptian God of the Night. Jackson's wife is chosen as the new host for Apophis' Queen and Skarra as his son, Klorel. They manage to escape certain death at the hands of the Kings Guard, the Jaffa when the most senior ranking officer, First Prime to Apophis, Teal'c betrays his god and saves the team. With Teal'c as the final member, SG-1 ventures forth in search of those who have been taken from them and to see what's out there! Text by Bobbijoe |
