| Synopsis: The team arrive on a new planet and walk straight into a scene of chaos. The planet is being destroyed by a volcano and the lava flow is heading straight for the gate. Around the immediate area of the gate, the team find what they believe to be the remaining survivors of the planet’s population trying to escape before being overcome by the choking ash and volcanic fumes. They return to earth with the survivors known as the Tollan who are less than impressed with their surroundings and the people of earth. It would seem that they in fact did not want to be rescued and now see themselves in far more danger than they were when they lay in the volcano’s path as they are now stranded with an inferior and primitive race of people. Their leader, Omac refuses to answer any questions and, to the frustration of the SGC, forbids any interaction by his people with the people of earth. They demand to be relocated to a world at a similar level of technology as themselves and the team search among the allies that they have made for a new home for the Tollan. The team later finds out that the Tollan once shared their knowledge and technology with an inferior race who used it to wage war on their neighbours and they do not intend to make the same mistake twice.
