| Synopsis: The Team visit Simarka, a planet populated by a warlike race of people called the Shavadai not unlike the Mongols that once populated earth. The Team encounter Abu, the son of the Shavadai chief, Mughal, and save him for being hunted and killed by his enemies. SG-1 soon realise that people of this planet live by a strict code. Carter is threatened with death for daring to speak to Abu. Abu kidnaps Carter in the hopes of trading her for Nya, the women he loves, who unfortunately happens to be the daughter of Mughal's greatest enemy the Warlord Turghan. Carter ends up in the Warloads harem despite the deal going bad and Abu leaving empty-handed. SG-1 mount a rescue, but Nya is caught trying to elope with Abu and sentenced to be stoned to death by her father. SG-1 only chance to save them both is to use the ancient laws of the Shavadai.
