SG-1

The beginning of the adventure...

A circular object was discovered in Giza, Egypt, in 1928. At this time no one thought it would become important for the future of Earth...

Many years later, the "Stargate," or "Doorway to Heaven" as it was originally thought to be, was first set in action with the help of Dr. Daniel Jackson. Not long after, the first team of military led by reinstated Colonel Jack O'Neill and one civilian, Dr. Jackson, travel through the ring... and find themselves millions of lightyears away from Earth, at the end of the galaxy on the planet Abydos. There, they found new friends but also new enemies, a species known as the Goa'uld, who were the Egyptian gods. Ra, the sun god, is controlling the people who are living there and making them slaves to mine the mineral the Stargate is made out of. With luck and the help of the native people who turned out to be human as well, the first troop could do the impossible: they expelled the Goa'uld presence from Abydos. As a result, the native people became free individuals and were no longer slaves to Ra. Dr. Jackson stayed behind on Abydos with his wife, Shau're, and O'Neill took the surviving members of his team home through the Stargate.

Some time later...
The Stargate Program has been shut down, though it is still monitored by the US Air Force. There are only a few military guards for the Stargate, who haven't really an idea what this huge ring can do. It's quiet at sublevel U-28 in Cheyenne Mountain Complex. Suddenly, someone activates the Stargate from the other side. The card playing guards have no chance against the Goa'ulds who come storming through. There is a bloody confrontation, and as it ends, the Goa'uld escape and kidnap one female guard. The US Government is surprised at this act, and the Stargate Program is reactivated. Colonel O'Neill , his old crew from the first stargate-mission (Kawalski, Feretti) and one new member, Captain Samantha Carter, are sent on a new mission through the Stargate to find out who attacked them and why. The fight against the Goa'uld begins, and the adventure goes on...
